Nice fabric for wallets, luggage, dog beds, instrument cases, fanny packs, backpacks, purses, tarps, covers and other places a polyurethane and strong, water repellent fabric is desired. Polyester is strong, resistant to stretching and shrinking, resistant to most chemicals, crisp and resilient wet or dry, abrasion resistant. Offers very good UV resistance although not as good as solution dyed polyester.

A less expensive alternative to 500D CORDURA® Nylon fabric 600D Polyester fabric offers similar strength and water resistance. Polyester is much more easily recycled than nylon.

Easy to wash, mildew-resistant. Can be dried on low heat cycle, but must be removed as soon as finished. Can be ironed. Polyesters can usually be dry-cleaned.
